Security arrests 2 militants over terrorist acts in Daqahlia

Cairo – 8 August 2017: The security forces in Daqahlia governorate arrested two members of a terrorist cell called the Popular Resistance Movement (PRC) in 6th of October City who were involved in killing a policeman in the General Administration of the National Security Sector in the 6th of October City.

The terrorists were involved in perpetration of violence in the area of Kerdasa after the dismantling of the Rabaa and Al-Nahda sit-ins. They were sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing weapons.

They were referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office, which started the investigation.

Egyptian security forces increased security measures in an attempt to end the series of terrorist attacks inflicting the country over the past few years.
