TRIPOLI - 7 August 2017: The Italian Government said Monday that Minister of Foreign Affairs Angelino Alfano will receive Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya Ghassan Salama in Rome on Tuesday.
The meeting comes in the wake of the first official visit of the UN envoy to Libya, including the capital of Tripoli and the cities of Al Qubba and Al Baidaa.
During his visit, Salama met with the head of the National Reconciliation Council Faiz Al Sarraj and the President of the Supreme Council of the State Abdul Rahman Al Suweihli as well as Speaker of the House of Representatives Aqila Saleh, reporting Al Wasat News Gate.
During his meetings with Libyan parties, Salama affirmed that any solution must be led by Libya.
