Pope Tawadros receives Egyptian envoy to Israel

CAIRO - 7 August 2017: Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese on Sunday received Egyptian Ambassador to Israel Hazem Khairat.

During the meeting, the latest developments regarding the Deir El Sultan monastery in Al Quds were discussed.

Rulings said the monastery belongs to the Egyptian church but the Israeli government failed to comply with the verdicts.
