CAIRO - 4 August 2017: Four Egyptian researchers received awards for studies made on improving Egyptian-Korean ties from the South Korean Embassy in Cairo.

The embassy launched the research competition on March 17.

South Korean Ambassador to Egypt Yoon Soon-Gu told a presser that the embassy is keen on giving winners scholarships for study in S. Korea as part of efforts to boost cooperation between the two sides.

The competition was attended by head of parliament's media and culture committee Osama Heikal, former minister of local development Ahmed Zaki Badr, former minister of higher education Hani Helal, former transport minister Galal Al Saed, and head of the Egyptian-Korean Friendship Association.

The four researchers are postgraduate students and graduates from the faculties of the pharmacy, Al Alsun, commerce and science.
