South Korea, Egypt level up mutual defense cooperation

CAIRO – 3 August 2017: Minister of Defense Sedki Sobhi met on Thursday South Korean vice Defense Minister Young-moo and his accompanying delegation in Cairo.

During the meeting, both exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments and the efforts undertaken to achieve stability and peace in the region.

For his side, Moo expressed appreciation the all-weather friendship both countries share, confirming Egypt’s vital role in attaining stability in the region.

During the meeting, Sobhi expressed his willingness to level up the mutual military cooperation with South Korea.

Earlier in March, Egypt and South Korea inked a memorandum of understanding on expanding mutual defense cooperation.
