CAIRO – 3 August 2017: Egyptian Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedki Sobhi signed a cooperation protocol on Wednesday with Chadian Defense Minister Bichara Issa Djadallah, whom he officially received in the premises of the Defense Ministry.
Sobhi held bilateral talks with Djadallah in a high profile meeting attended by a number of the armed forces senior leaders.
Given Egypt’s “pivotal role” in attaining stability in the region, the Chadian minister expressed his appreciation for the mutual military relations both countries share, confirming his aspiration to advance towards deeper mutual relations.
During the meeting, both tackled a number of the regional and continental issues, especially the situation in Libya.
On a related vein, Abdel Aziz Seif El-deen, chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) will hold bilateral meetings with Djadallah on Thursday to explore areas of mutual cooperation.
The Chadian minister is expected to be shown around the military fair for commodities produced by the organization.
