One Takfiri arrested, weapons seized in Central Sinai

CAIRO - 1 August 2018: One Takfiri element was arrested and a terrorist hotbed was destroyed during raids by Third Army forces on terrorist hideouts in Central Sinai, the Military Spokesman said Tuesday.

In a statement, the Military Spokesman said that an attempt to smuggle 8 vehicles loaded with fuel was thwarted in Central Sinai.

The army seized quantities of weapons and ammunition and dismantled one explosive charge prepared to target the forces, he added.

Law enforcement forces of the Third Field Army continued efforts to raid terrorist hotbeds in Central Sinai, the spokesman added.
