Turkish Foreign Minister Postpones Ukraine Visit After Russian Ambassador Murder
BEIJING - 1 August 2017: China's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will visit China on Wednesday.
This visit comes upon the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
During his two-day visit, Cavusoglu will attend the second meeting of consultation mechanism between the ministers of the two countries, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lu Kang said.
Talks are expected to tackle relations between the two countries along with regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited China in May to attend Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
During Erdogan visit to China, he also held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
