Sisi urges nominated ambassadors to convey Egypt real image

CAIRO – 1 August 2017: President Abdel Fatah al- Sisi called on the newly nominated ambassadors to convey the real image of Egypt w, during a meeting on Monday in attendance of Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry.

Sisi stressed the importance of conveying the real image of the economic development programs in Egypt to the world and attracting foreign investments in the light of the new mega projects implemented in Egypt.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sisi referred to the Egyptian diplomacy as “the veneer” which shows the civilized image of Egypt and defends its interests abroad. He expressed his confidence in the ability of Egyptian diplomats to represent Egypt and give it a good name..

During the meeting, Sisi reviewedEgypt’s foreign policy, stressing the importance of developing balanced relations between Egypt and other countries worldwide, within the framework of maintaining Egypt’s independent decision and active regional role.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of continuing efforts for state stability.. He also called for cooperation with the international community to counter terrorism at all levels and restore stability and security to Middle East.

The president called on the ambassadors to endeavor to find “unconventional solutions” to Egypt’s challenges, hailing the role of Egypt’s envoys in providing services to the Egyptian communities abroad. President Sisi reiterated his call for more efforts encourageEgyptian nationals abroad to contribute to the development process at home.

The meeting with the ambassadors underlined the importance of boosting the the mission of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasizing the necessity of good selection, qualification and evaluation of the members of the diplomatic corps.

For their part, the ambassadors praised Sisi’s attention to Egypt’s foreign policy and appreciated his keenness to inform them of the plans and priorities of the next stage.
The ambassadors expressed their pride to represent Egypt abroad and willingness to exert maximum efforts to achieve Egypt’s development and political plans.

The ambassadors furhter presented their visions in developing the performance of Egyptian missions abroad and reviewed ways to strength and develop the coordination between these missions and the concerned bodies in the country, in order to maximize the potential and expertise available to serve the interests of citizens.
