CAIRO– 31 July 2017: The European Union delegation to Egypt organized in Cairo on Monday an event for Egyptian youths who benefited from EU funding initiatives to talk about their achievements.
The event also shed light on EU programs and their effect on Egyptians. It also underlined empowering youths and NGOs via expertise exchange.
The event was attended by more than 150 youths, representatives of media outlets and NGOs.
During the event, Ambassador Ivan Surkos, Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt, said that the EU is keen on supporting youths around the world.
EU aid to Egypt reaches about 1.3 billion euros. The aid aims at establishing a number of projects to contribute to economic, social and political development in Egypt, especially projects benefiting youths and women as well as stability and prosperity in Egypt.
