S. Korean Navy chief to visit Egypt

CAIRO – 30 July 2017: South Korean Navy chief, Um Hyun-seong headed to Egypt and Russia on Saturday July 30 in an official visit to discuss military cooperation, according to Korean Yonhap news agency.

The visit comes upon an official invitation from Egypt and Russia and expected to remain till August 5.

South Korea is expecting to discuss the activation of military exchange between South Korean naval Forces and the Egyptian – Russian naval Forces to enhance maritime security cooperation in the defense industry.

In Russia, Hyun-seong will attend an international ceremony to inspect the Russian navy.
