CAIRO – 28 July 2017: Twenty new trains will operate in Upper and Lower Egypt, including four with air conditioning, the Egyptian National Railways Authority announced on Friday.
It added in its report that two trains are scheduled to be added to lines of Ismailia, Tanta, Zagazig, Banha, Mansoura governorate’s Mit Ghamr and Kafr el-Sheikh’s Qleen and Bella.
Eight trains will be added to Alexandria’s Abu Qir’s line.
The Minister of Transportation Hisham Arafat said on Thursday that work is under way to extend a railway line between 10th of Ramadan and Robeeky cities to promote trade and facilitate the transport of commodities.
