CAIRO - 28 July 2017: Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said the pan-Arab body is going to brief the United Nations on the outcomes of an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers held after Israel's new security measures that sparked days of violence at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Addressing a presser, Aboul Gheit said he will let the UN Secretary General know details of the decisions adopted during the AL meeting.
He added the Arab foreign ministers will hold discussions with the US counterparts and the United Nations in a bid to issue new decisions.
The ministers are open to discussions to see how the international community would intervene to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authority, he said.
In the same context, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki said the Israeli occupation forces spoil the joy of the Palestinian people by using sonic and gas bombs inside the holy mosque.
