CAIRO – 27 July 2017: A high-ranking U.S. military delegation comprising a number of military officials arrived at Cairo International Airport Thursday to meet with a number of Egyptian officials, said informed sources.
The U.S. delegation, which includes five U.S. military officials affiliated with the American Ministry of Defense arrived on board a private airplane. Arrival procedures of the delegation were finalized to receive the military officials at the VIP Lounge at Cairo International Airport.
In the context of strengthening Egypt-US bilateral relations, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received U.S. congressman Roger Wicker and the accompanying U.S. congressional delegation earlier this July. They discussed counter-terrorism and bilateral relations.
Egyptian-American relations witnessed great enhancement following the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump. At a recent meeting between both countries' leaders, they affirmed good relations and mutual cooperation.
