CAIRO - 26 July 2017: Egypt is expected to witness extremely high temperatures on Thursday in Cairo and Upper Egypt, with slightly more mild temperatures on the northern coasts, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority.

Temperatures in Greater Cairo could reach a maximum of 39 ℃ and a minimum of 26 ℃; meanwhile, Alexandria will see a relatively cool 32 ℃ in the daytime and 26 ℃ at night.

While temperatures in Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai will witness a maximum of 39 ℃ and a low of 29 ℃, with the Red Sea city of Hurghada witnessing a high of 40 ℃ and a low of 29 ℃.

Upper Egypt will see high temperatures, with Luxor and Aswan seeing a high of 43 ℃ and a low of 26 ℃.

Recently, Egypt has witnessed a heat wave. It is recommended during such hot weather to drink plenty of fluids and avoid going out in the afternoon , from 12 p.m. till 3 p.m., where the weather is at its highest.
