Egypt extends working hours for commercial venues till 2 am during Holy month of Ramadan

CAIRO - 22 February 2025: Egyptian Minister of Local Development Dr. Manal Awad announced extending the working hours of shops, restaurants and cafes until 2 am during the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (Feasting of Breaking the Fasting). with delivery services continuing 24 hours.

 

Workshops within residential blocks will also close at 10 pm, with the exception of those located on roads as well as gas stations.

 

The decision comes to provide a suitable atmosphere for citizens and achieve a balance between economic activity and public order
