CAIRO – 14 February 2025: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty met with Ali Youssef Al-Sharif, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, on Friday, February 14, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany.
The Egyptian Minister emphasized Egypt's unwavering support for the Sudanese people, highlighting the strong fraternal relations and historical ties between the two nations.
He reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to supporting Sudan and its national institutions, as well as its efforts to strengthen the country's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. Additionally, he reiterated Egypt's support for humanitarian response initiatives in Sudan.
Minister Abdelatty also reviewed Egypt's active role in regional and international efforts to support Sudan, including working to ensure the resumption of Sudan's participation in the African Union.
Abdelatty departed for Munich on February 13, to participate in the 61st session of the Munich Security Conference, which will take place from February 14 to 16.
During the conference, the Minister will engage in discussions on key regional and international developments, as well as hold a series of bilateral meetings with foreign ministers and senior officials on the sidelines to address various global challenges.
