Egypt, Germany hold talks on African affairs

CAIRO – 28 January 2025: Cairo hosted Monday Egyptian-German talks on African affairs, especially the crises in Sudan, Horn of Africa, and Sahel, as well as combating terrorism on the continent and the issue of the Nile water.

The talks, co-chaired by Assistant to Foreign Minister for African Affairs Ehab Awad and Director for Sub-Saharan Africa and the Sahel at the Federal Foreign Office Christoph Retzlaff, tackled peacebuilding, post-conflict reconstruction and developmental initiatives.
