CAIRO – 26 January 2025: This week, Egypt is set to enjoy warm weather during the day, but take care as it will cool down as the night rolls in and early mornings get a bit chilly.

Alexandria, Port Said, and the Nile Delta are gearing up for moderate rain on Sunday, which could come with some thunder, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

Meanwhile, the North Coast, North Sinai, and the Suez Canal cities can expect light to moderate showers, and some of that may even stretch into parts of Greater Cairo.

Overall, there's not much to worry about for the rest of the week, aside from a chance of light rain along the northwestern coast, including the lovely Matrouh governorate.

Thinking about a getaway? South Sinai is calling, especially Sharm El-Sheikh, which is a hotspot for winter vacationers worldwide. It’s all sunny and warm there, with highs around 24 degrees Celsius and lows of 15 on Sunday

On the other hand, Saint Catherine in Sinai is a whole different vibe—perfect for cold weather lovers. Nights are expected to be bone-chilling at 0 degrees (yes, you’ve read it right), while daytime temps will hover around 15 degrees.

Hurghada on the eastern coast is looking pretty pleasant too, with daytime temperatures reaching 24 degrees and cooler nights dropping to 14—ideal for holiday seekers.

If you're up for a day trip, Ain Sokhna could be your tranquil haven. Suez is expecting highs of 21 and lows of 11 on Sunday.

Looking ahead to the week, both Cairo and the North Coast will see average highs of 20 and lows of 11.

In northern Upper Egypt, expect highs ranging from 20-25 and lows of around 8, while southern Upper Egypt will bask in highs of 24-28 with lows of 10-13.
