CAIRO – 22 January 2025: Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, met with, CEO of the global Ariston group, Paolo Merloni on sidelines of the World Economic Forum ‘Davos 2025’ in Switzerland.
Attended the meeting Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Eng. Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and Ambassador Mohamed Negm, Egypt's Ambassador to Switzerland.
Egypt’s Prime Minister expressed his aspiration to develop cooperation and investments with the ‘Ariston’ group in light of its strong presence over the years in the Egyptian market.
Madbouly explained that he looks forward to hearing the group's plans to develop its investments in Egypt.
For his part, Paolo Merloni, CEO of Ariston Group, explained that the group has developed its investments in Egypt by investing 30 million euros, as well as seeking to double its production during the current year, stressing that the group also has a strong presence both regionally and internationally.
Merloni indicated that the group seeks to develop its capabilities to compete in the Egyptian market within the framework of the good reputation that its products enjoy in Egypt.
The CEO of the Ariston Group also expressed his aspiration to consult with the relevant authorities in order to learn about the advantages and incentives that will be granted to the group to expand its activity, as well as to facilitate all procedures related to importing the components necessary to manufacture the group's products.
For his part, the Prime Minister stressed his aspiration to visit the group's factory in Egypt, directing the Minister of Investment to communicate with the group to answer all its inquiries and remove all obstacles facing it to double its investments.
The Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade confirmed that he will communicate with the group during the coming period in order to remove all obstacles facing it and answer all inquiries.
