CAIRO – 21 January 2025: Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent, Amal Emam, said that since the beginning of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which was a hope for all humanitarian workers, there has been a flow of humanitarian aid into the strip.

Emam added that Egyptian diplomacy and foreign affairs played a major role in making the ‘current historical scene’, as the trucks are lined up in front of the Rafah land crossing, where a large number of aid enters the Strip daily through the crossing.

Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent pointed out that humanitarian aid is being prepared and packed in the correct manner and placed and arranged in a way that allows it to pass through the crossings.

She explained that hundreds of trucks crossed into the Gaza Strip, and there are hundreds more waiting to cross, noting that more than 1,500 trucks began entering the Strip since Sunday, and that 800 to 900 trucks have already arrived in the Strip, which is the largest number to have arrived in Gaza as a result of this agreement.
