CAIRO – 21 January 2025: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty emphasized the importance of parliamentary cooperation between Egypt and the European Union.
This came during a meeting held Tuesday with co-chair of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Group Nicola Procaccini at the European Parliament seat in Strasbourg.
During the meeting, Abdelatty reviewed Egypt's efforts to support security and stability in the Middle East region along with Egypt's stance toward the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, Syria, and Sudan.
He further shed light on relentless efforts exerted by the Egyptian government in implementing ambitious programs for economic reform, despite the successive regional and international challenges.
Abdelatty, meanwhile, referred to Egypt's efforts in combating illegal migration, adding that Egypt is adopting a comprehensive approach based on linking migration to development and addressing the root causes of illegal migration.
He also highlighted the economic burdens resulting from hosting millions of foreigners in the country
