CAIRO – 20 January 2025: US President-elect Donald Trump took the presidential oath for a second time, capping a historic political comeback to the White House, according to ABC News.

The ceremony was moved inside to the US Capitol Rotunda because of frigid weather for only the first time since Ronald Reagan's second inauguration 40 years ago.

In his inauguration address, Trump said that electing him as a President would “restore integrity, competency, and loyalty of America's government.” He noted that the “decline” of the US is over.

“Over the past eight years, I have been tested and challenged more than any president in our 250-year history, and I've learned a lot along the way. The journey to reclaim our republic has not been an easy one, that I can tell you. Those who wish to stop our cause have tried to take my freedom, and indeed, to take my life,” he said.
