Channel 1, Satellite channel returns to Egyptian television

CAIRO - 19 January 2025: Chairman of the National Media Authority, Ahmed Al-Maslamani, met on Sunday with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Media Services Company, Tarek Nour, and they discussed the reality and future of Egyptian media and the prospects for its development in terms of appearance and content.

Maslamani and Nour agreed during the meeting to return both of Channel 1, and the official satellite Channel to the Egyptian television. Al-Maslamani thanked the United Company for its great role in developing the first channel, before its return to ‘Maspero’.

Al-Maslamani added that the return of channel 1 and the satellite to Egypt’s television again, after the great effort made by the United Company in the development and efficiency improvement project, doubles the professional responsibility on the shoulders of Maspero's sons, who must continue to work with dedication and sincerity for more strength and presence of Egyptian television.

The Chairman of the National Media Authority added, “We are keen to strengthen the distinguished relations between Maspero and the United Company, which we wish all the best, and we will continue to work in many different areas of cooperation between us.”

It is worth noting that the work teams of the National Media Authority and the United Company have begun the procedures for the return of channel 1 and the satellite channel to the Egyptian television.
