CAIRO – 16 January 2025: Concluding his visit to Port Sudan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdelatty met Wednesday with the Sudanese ministers of health, transport, justice, finance, and economic planning.

The meeting, which was also attended by Sudan's Foreign Minister Ali Youssef al-Sharif, included talks on ways to bolster cooperation in the ministers' respective sectors, agreeing on increasing the exchange of visits among the officials of both countries to fulfill that purpose.

There is also a plan to hold a joint business forum soon to push forward trade exchange, reciprocal investments, and economic ties.

Further, the Egyptian minister discussed with the Sudanese ministers the matter of reconstruction after achieving a ceasefire. He presented the capabilities of Egyptian firms in the fields of constructions, energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and food industries, as they garnered experience from implementing projects in other African countries. He added that those companies might play a pivotal role in supporting Sudan and its developmental aspirations.
