CAIRO – 10 January 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi addressed students at the Egyptian Military Academy, highlighting the importance of awareness and readiness in light of the ongoing numerous regional developments.
During a visit to the academy early on Friday, Sisi expressed confidence in the younger generation, stating, "We have a generation of young people who care about their country, its security, and safety.”
The president reassured people that things in Egypt are “going well."
Sisi highlighted the challenges faced over the past four years, including the ongoing Russian war and the war in Gaza. “Despite the harsh conditions we encounter along our borders, Allah will grant us further success as we exert effort, remain patient, and work," he said.
BOOSTING READINESS
The president stressed that the many developments in the region necessitate the highest levels of understanding and readiness, emphasizing that this “readiness will only be acquired through hard work.”
Addressing students, Sisi stated that the academy's curriculum is tailored to prepare students according to their weapon branch, urging them to also cultivate personal principles and skills.
'BALANCED PERSONALITY'
He highlighted that the programs are informed by studies from sociology and psychology faculties, aiming to produce balanced and educated officers.
“The officer's personality should be balanced and devoid of arrogance,” Sisi stated. “Being balanced or tolerant does not imply a lack of capability—quite the opposite," he added.
He urged the new students to take full advantage of the training programs designed for their development.
Sisi reiterated his trust in the youth, emphasizing their crucial role in the security and protection of the Egyptian state.
"You are the generation that has the whole world before you," he remarked.
He assured the students that the academy has not skimped on knowledge, information, or experience, providing them with top-tier educational systems to ensure they graduate as competent and capable officers.
Sisi emphasized that the most honorable mission one can undertake is to protect their homeland.
"This is the mission we are charged with, for which we joined the armed forces," he stated.
The president reminded the students of their responsibility to safeguard a country home to about 120 million people, including both citizens and guests.
