Egypt’s Foreign Minister discusses enhancing cooperation with Cameroon

CAIRO – 9 January 2025: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdel Aati held a phone call, on Thursday, with Lejeune Mbella Mbella, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cameroon, as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and Cameroon.

The two ministers reviewed ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries and enhance partnership in the fields of economy, trade and infrastructure development, in addition to expanding the scope of bilateral cooperation to achieve common interests.

They also discussed the most prominent regional issues, and supporting African cooperation to consolidate the pillars of regional stability and enhance security and stability in the Central African region.

At the end of the call, it was agreed to intensify consultations and close coordination between the two countries in various regional and international forums, as well as exchange support for nominations that represent a priority for both sides.
