CAIRO – 9 January 2025: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdelatty received Thursday a delegation from the Palestinian Liberation Front (PLF) that comprised Chairman of the National Council Rawhy Fatouh, and members of the Executive Committee Ahmed al-Magdalani and Azzam al-Ahmed.

The minister underscored Egypt's support to the Palestinian Authority (PA), and rejection of attempts to displace Palestinians, giving an overview of the contacts made by the country to end the war in Gaza and eliminate obstructions crippling the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Egypt is also mobilizing support for an international recognition of an independent Palestinian State on the borders of June 4, 1967 having as capital Eastern Jerusalem. In that framework, the Egyptian minister stressed the importance of unifying Palestinians, and listened to the delegation's assessment of developments in the West Bank and Gaza.

In the same context, Minister Abdelatty condemned the publishing - by Israeli accounts on social media - of a map showing Jordanian, Palestinian, Lebanese, and Syrian territories as Israeli ones.
