CAIRO - 9 January 2025: The Egyptian Space Agency will host the "NewSpace Africa 2025" Conference, due to convene on April 21-24, 2025 at the headquarters of the agency.

The four-day event aims to empower Africa's economy through space innovation, according to a statement issued by the agency on Thursday.

"NewSpace Africa" is a premier international platform that brings together top leaders in the space industry, commercial space companies, investors, and key stakeholders in space and satellite technologies.

 

Rapid Growth of Africa's Space Industry

 

Africa's space industry has experienced remarkable growth, valued at $19.49 billion in 2021. It is projected to expand by 16.16%, reaching $22.64 billion by 2026. The continent is home to over 270 space startups, which are driving innovation in space technologies and providing technology-driven services across a variety of market sectors.

The conference agenda includes a range of distinguished activities and unique opportunities designed to foster collaboration and innovation within Africa’s space sector. Participants can look forward to keynote speeches from prominent industry leaders, interactive sessions, and panel discussions that will tackle key challenges and opportunities. 

Business showcases will highlight the latest innovations, while networking events provide exceptional opportunities for business collaboration.
