Flag pins of Egypt and Sychelles
CAIRO - 7 January 2025: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, held a phone call Tuesday, with Sylvestre Radegonde, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Seychelles, within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Seychelles.
Badr Abdel Aati stressed Egypt's keenness to enhance cooperation and partnership with Seychelles within the framework of supporting African-African cooperation, pointing out the importance of building on the distinguished relations between the two countries and raising the level of joint cooperation to achieve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
During the call, the two ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially in the fields of economy, trade, development and capacity building. They also exchanged views on regional issues related to the African continent of common interest, including issues related to the African Union and ways to enhance its role in supporting security and stability in the African continent.
The two ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultation on files of common priority, while stressing the exchange of support for nominations between the two sides in regional and international forums.
For his part, the Seychelles Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for Egypt's regional and international role, praising the Egyptian initiatives aimed at supporting cooperation in the African continent, and enhancing capacity building and sustainable development.
