CAIRO – 28 December 2024: Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces committed two massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, with 48 martyrs and 52 injuries arriving at hospitals, according to the daily news briefing by the Palestinian Ministry of Health branch in Gaza on Saturday via its Telegram channel.
The death toll of the Palestinian victims rose to 45,484 and the total number of the injured people registered at 108,090 since October 7, 2023.
The ministry also continued that many of the victims remain trapped under rubble and on the streets, while rescue teams and civil defense unable to reach them due to the ongoing bombardment.
In media comments to Al Jazeera, the director of health Ministry in Gaza strip said that patients who were forcibly displaced from Kamal Adwan Hospital to the Indonesian Hospital have witnessed a harsh night. He added that the occupation forces burned the sections of Kamal Adwan Hospital, causing the martyrdom and burning of several patients and workers.
The occupation deceived the medical staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital and arrested them, including Dr. Hossam Abu Safia, he continued.
“We have lost contact with 10 of our medical staff members at Kamal Adwan Hospital, and we know nothing about their fate,” he was quoted as saying, noting that Hossam Abu Safia, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, was subjected to severe beating by the occupation forces before his arrest.
He said that fire broke out in several paramedics who were inside Kamal Adwan Hospital.
