Heads of UMS, Supreme Council for Media discuss ways to improve Egyptian media

CAIRO – 26 December 2024:  United Media Services (UMS) chairman of the Board of Directors Tarek Nour met on Thursday with chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation Khaled Abdel Aziz as they discussed ways to improve Egyptian media in the coming period through cooperation between the Council and the United Company.

Abdel Aziz pointed out the need to improve public taste, explaining the importance of relying on distinguished competencies that have credibility and the ability to review challenges and propose solutions to deal with the challenges facing the Egyptian state at various levels in a way that contributes to achieving the media message.

He explained the need to pay attention to the media content presented in media outlets in various sectors, whether related to political, sports, religious or artistic programs and others, pointing out the need to choose personalities capable of conveying the media message and explaining the challenges facing the state with facts and transparency.

Meanwhile, Tarek Nour, UMS Chairman, praised the regulatory decisions issued by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, stressing that the United Company is working during the coming period to arrange the program map in its affiliated channels and establish policies that are consistent with the principles and values ​​of media discourse.
