CAIRO – 26 December 2024: The Ministry of Interior has taken legal action against several criminal elements involved in illicit activities, including drug trafficking and dealing in unlicensed weapons and ammunition.

Authorities revealed these individuals were laundering proceeds from their criminal operations, attempting to conceal the sources and legitimize the funds.

Over the course of one week, the Ministry successfully identified and seized multiple money laundering cases, with a total value estimated at nearly LE189 million.

All necessary legal measures have been initiated to address these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable.
