Delegations from the leaders of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, the Islamic Jihad Movement and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine met in Cairo last Friday evening
CAIRO – 21 December 2024: A tripartite inter-Palestinian meeting for the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, the Islamic Jihad Movement and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine held in Cario on Friday, to discuss the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza strip and the latest development of the indirect talks between Hamas and Israel.
Delegations from the leaders of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, the Islamic Jihad Movement and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine met in Cairo last Friday evening, where they discussed in-depth the course of the war on Gaza and the developments of the indirect negotiations with the mediators in Egypt to cease fire and the exchange deal and all the changes at the regional level.
The attendees discussed the situations of suffering and pain of the Palestinian people and the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy around the clock to undermine the steadfastness of Palestinians, according to a statement released by Hamas Movement on Saturday.
The leaders highly appreciated the resistance and its qualitative operations and the great scenes of fighters who inflict daily material and human losses on the Israeli enemy.
Additionally, the three factions discussed the latest developments related to the ceasefire negotiations and the prisoner exchange deal, and stressed everyone's keenness to stop the aggression against the Palestinians, which has continued for more than 14 months in light of shameful international collusion.
They considered that the possibility of reaching an agreement has become closer than ever if the enemy stops setting new conditions.
The delegations also discussed the latest developments in the project of the Community Support Committee to manage the Gaza Strip after the war. They also expressed their appreciation for the Egyptian effort in completing this project and the importance of starting practical steps to form the committee and announce it as soon as possible.
The three factions agreed to continue communicating to consult and coordinate on all developments related to the aggression against the Palestinians and the ceasefire negotiations, as well as to meet again at the earliest opportunity to complete what is required in order to put the final touches on forming the Community Support Committee to manage the Gaza Strip after the war.
