CAIRO – 17 December 2024: The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit Egypt to participate in the Developing Eight (D-8) Summit, according to Extra News.
The Developing Eight (D-8) is an intergovernmental organization established in 1997 to promote economic cooperation and development among member states. The organization includes Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey. These nations collectively aim to strengthen economic ties, increase trade, and foster sustainable development while advancing their position in the global economy.
The D-8 Summit is held periodically, providing a platform for leaders to discuss economic growth, trade partnerships, technology exchange, and investment opportunities. Key sectors of focus include agriculture, industrial development, energy, trade, transportation, and tourism.
