CAIRO – 16 December 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted he is looking forward to deepening all vistas of political and economic cooperation with the EU.
He said it is important to elevate the level of trade and investment cooperation.
That came in a telephone conversation between the foreign minister and EU Commissioner for Mediterranean Affairs Dubravka Šuica on Monday.
The contact tackled ways of supporting relations between Egypt and EU, especially in the Mediterranean region.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Tamim Khallaf said that Abdelatty congratulated the EU official on assuming her new post.
The foreign minister underlined the importance of activating the outputs of the Egyptian-European Investment Conference, which was held in Cairo in June, 2024.
Abdelatty underscored the necessity of boosting cooperation between Egypt and EU in the Mediterranean region to overcome joint challenges.
The EU official appreciated Egyptian efforts in the region.
