Abdel-Gawad announced that Egypt has restored around 30,000 artifacts from Ireland so far.

The move is considered an important step and a strong momentum in this vital sector, he added.

He revealed that among the recovered artifacts is a wooden coffin containing a mummy, along with a collection of colorful cartonnage pieces once used to cover mummies.

Egypt recovered thousands of artifacts, including 5,000 from the U.S. and 114 from France, with efforts ongoing to reclaim more.

Restored items are displayed in museums and will not stored, according to him.
