One dead, another injured in solar line explosion in Ismailia Governorate

CAIRO – 12 December 2024: A solar line exploded on Thursday under the railway line on the Ismailia-Zagazig Agricultural Road, Qassasin, Ismailia Governorate.

Major General Mohamed Amer, Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of Ismailia Security, received a notification from the emergency police stating that a person had died in a solar line explosion incident under the railway line and another person was injured.

The deceased and the injured were transferred to Qassasin Central Hospital for first aid and medical care. The body was kept in the hospital morgue at the disposal.

All concerned authorities moved to the scene of the accident and the ambulance service dispatched a number of ambulances to transport the victims to Qassasin Central Hospital.

A report was filed on the incident and the Public Prosecution was notified to conduct investigations.
