CAIRO – 12 December 2024: Ambassador to Sarajevo Walid Hagag met Bosnian Defense Minister Zukan Heleze who expressed interest in an experience transfer from Egypt in the field of military manufacturing.

The ambassador also met with Minister of Foreign Trade and Economy Stasa Kosarac to discuss boosting trade exchange and Egyptian investments in Bosnia. Further, the talks tackled increasing the flow of Bosnian tourists to Egypt, as an agreement is being prepared to bolster tourist visits between the two countries.

Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zeljka Cvijanovic expressed in November her country's interest in experience transfer from Egypt on institutional capacity-building, as well as in boosting economic cooperation, tourism, trade and cultural exchange.

Cvijanovic's statements came during a meeting with Egyptian Ambassador Walid Haggag, where the two parties exchanged views on issues of joint concern on the regional and international scenes.

On her side, the chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed eagerness for maintaining the current advanced level of coordination between the two countries, valuing the role assumed by Egypt as a pillar of peace and stability in the Middle East.
