Egypt, Rwanda plan to boost bilateral trade capitalizing on COMESA membership

CAIRO – 11 December 2024: Ambassador to Kigali Nermine Essam Al Zawahri met with Rwandan Minister of Trade and Industry Prudence Sebahizi to leverage both states' membership in the COMESA to boost bilateral trade.

 

The ambassador expressed readiness to fulfill Rwandan market needs by Egyptian products, equally, calling for facilitating the entry of Egyptian firms to the Rwandan market seizing investment opportunities in the sectors of transportation and constructions in specific.

 

On his side, the minister said his country looked forward to transfer of Egyptian experience in the fields of agriculture, healthcare, education, and constructions. He also added that the two countries must benefit the most from the Egyptian logistics zone to be established on the Rwandan borders with Tanzania.
