President Sisi arrives Dublin, at end of his European tour

CAIRO – 10 December 2024: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi arrived on Tuesday at his residence in the Irish capital, Dublin, at the end of his European tour.

A large number of members of the Egyptian community in Ireland and other European companies gathered in front of the residence of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al Sisi to express their support to the Egyptian state and efforts exerted by the president to develop the country and maintain its stability and security.

The Egyptians raised Egypt’s flag and pictures of President Sisi amidst cheers of welcome.

The national developmental projects implemented by the Egyptian state within the past ten years contributed to increasing the economic growth in Egypt, they said.

President Sisi arrived in Ireland in the third and last stop of his European tour that also included Denmark and Norway. 

In Dublin, Sisi is scheduled to meet with the President and Prime Minister of Ireland to discuss opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation and aligning positions on international issues and crises of mutual concern.

Before leaving Norway, President El-Sisi held meetings with key Norwegian executives, including the CEO of Empower, a company specializing in renewable energy, the CEO of Golar, a leading gas liquefaction company, the CEO of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation and the CEO of the Norwegian-African Business Association.

According to the Presidential Spokesperson, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shinawy, the meetings addressed Egypt's economic development policies and its commitment to empowering the private sector while attracting more foreign direct investments.

President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s priority to develop its renewable energy sector, leveraging the country’s abundant natural resources and advanced infrastructure.
