CAIRO – 9 December 2024: Ambassador to Dakar Khaled Aref met with Senegalese Defense Minister General Birame Diop, affirming Egypt's interest in bolstering cooperation with the country in the fields of defense and combating terrorism.
On his side, the Senegalese minister commended the major development and modernization underwent by the Egyptian Armed Forces, saying he looked forward to a transfer of experience.
Minister Diop added that his country also wanted to develop the sectors of agriculture and healthcare. Hence, he wanted to replicate the model of the Egyptian Armed Forces' National Service Projects Organization, given its accomplishments pertinent to supporting the national economy.
