During the meeting, Afifi reviewed the great efforts exerted by the Egyptian government within the past years to promote work in the fields of scientific research, artificial intelligence and information technology, according to a press release Saturday.

These efforts are topped by issuing the national strategy on artificial intelligence 2020-2030, directing investments to technological infrastructure, activating the initiative of building smart cities like the New Administrative Capital, setting up advanced centers to handle data, supporting the infrastructure of cloud computing and establishing research centers for artificial intelligence in several Egyptian universities, Afifi said.

Afifi highlighted the efforts exerted to upgrade the system of clean and renewable energy in Egypt, pointing out that there are distinguished cooperation opportunities between Egypt and Czech in the fields of producing and using all kinds of hydrogen especially green hydrogen.

Meanwhile, Ženíšek asserted the Czech Republic’s interest in boosting collaboration with Egypt in numerous fields, pointing out that there are several available opportunities to develop cooperation in many areas of scientific research topped by those related to artificial intelligence.
