KABUL- 25 July 2017: Investigations about armed operations targeting Daesh terrorist group at Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan revealed that civilian casualties have been among the killings, Afghan sources said Tuesday.
An investigation team affirmed that a number of civilians were wounded in the airstrike on in Haska Meyna district at Nangarhar province, Khaama Press reported.
Dozens of civilians were held hostage by Daesh militants in order to use them as human shields after being hidden out in their house in which a funeral ceremony was held, the Investigation team said.
Meanwhile, Daesh insurgents carried out an attack on Afghan security men who exchanged fire with them after receiving air support.
ِAs a result of this clash that extended for hours, at least 25 Daesh militants were killed and 15 others were wounded, tye investigation team added.
The investigation team comprises a number of prominent government officials from country's institutions including military, police and general intelligence institutions, said a statement by the local government.
