The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) is also predicting early morning mist on agricultural roads and highways near water bodies, so ensure you maintain a safe distance, drive at a moderate speed, and switch on your lights for increased safety while on the road.
Expect a chilly start to the day in the early morning across the nation, with moderate temperatures throughout the day in Cairo and the north, while things gently heat up in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Thinking about a getaway? South Sinai is calling, especially Sharm El-Sheikh, a hotspot for winter vacationers worldwide. Right now, it's all sunny and warm there, with highs hitting 25 degrees Celsius and lows of 17.
Over in Saint Catherine in Sinai, it's a whole different story - perfect for those who love the cold. Nights are expected to be bone-chilling at around 2 degrees, while days will hover around 16 degrees.
Hurghada on the eastern coast is looking pretty pleasant too, with daytime temps reaching 26 degrees and nights cooling down to 14 - ideal for holiday hunters.
And if you're up for a day trip, Ain Sokhna could be your tranquil haven. Suez is looking at highs of 22 and lows of 11 on Sunday, much like Cairo during the day but a bit cooler at night.
For the week ahead, Cairo is looking at average highs of 22 and lows of 14, while the northern coast will see highs of 21 and lows of 12.
South Sinai and the Red Sea mountains expect highs of 25 and lows of 15
Average temperatures in northern Upper Egypt will hit highs of around 22 and lows of 8-10; and southern Upper Egypt will bask in highs of 24-28 with temps rising as the week proceeds, and lows of 11.
