Egypt’s 1st lady on International Day of Persons with Disabilities: ‘Our children prove that difference is a source of strength and distinction’

CAIRO – 3 December 2024:  Egypt’s first lady Intisar El Sisi, said that she is proud of the efforts of her ‘creative sons and daughters who prove day after day that difference is a source of strength and distinction.’

The first lady statements came on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

“On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, I am proud of the efforts of my creative sons and daughters who prove day after day that difference is a source of strength and distinction. Together, we are building a more inclusive and brighter future,” Egypt’s first lady Intisar El-Sisi, wrote on her social media accounts.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi also said that the nation will continue to support and empower Persons with Disabilities on the occasion of their International day.

He affirmed on his social media accounts that “children with disabilities are a blessing to the nation from Allah”

“On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, I affirm that our children with disabilities are a blessing to the nation from Allah the Almighty.” President Sisi said.

He added: “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to their families for the unwavering support and belief they have in their children's extraordinary abilities; a source of pride for us. The nation will continue to support and empower them, as the nation rises with the efforts of all its children. ‎”
