CAIRO- 1 December 2024: During his speech at the opening of the 45th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Kuwait on Sunday, the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah announced the support for the efforts of Qatar, Egypt and the United States of America to stop the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

He renewed the condemnation of the brutal Israeli occupation and the genocide it is committing in the Gaza Strip. He called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the rapid entry of humanitarian aid.

According to Israeli media, Egypt is hosting another round of indirect negotiations between Hamas and the Israelis, with US and Qatari mediation, to reach a ceasefire after announcing a 60-day truce between Lebanon and Israel.
