CAIRO – 28 November 2024:  Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdel Aati held a phone call on Thursday with his Rwandan counterpart Olivier Nduhungirehe as they discussed ‘distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries’.

Abdel Aati and Nduhungirehe also shed light on ways to enhance relations in various fields, including cooperation in the health, economic and trade fields, as well as capacity building and exchange of expertise through training programs organized by the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development.

The two ministers expressed their aspiration to hold the joint committee between the two countries as soon as possible and organize a business forum on the sidelines of the committee's work, which would contribute to strengthening relations between the private sectors in the two countries.

They also reviewed the progress of work at the "Egypt-Rwanda Magdi Yacoub Heart Center", which is an extension of the activities of one of the most important Egyptian centers for heart treatment in the African continent.

The two parties exchanged views on developments in the African continent, and stressed their commitment to working together to strengthen the institutions of the African Union and achieve the goals of sustainable development within the framework of Agenda 2063, and stressed the exchange of support for nominations in regional and international forums.
