CAIRO – 28 November 2024: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty emphasized the need for reaching a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the flow of life-saving humanitarian aid into the war-ravaged enclave.
This came during a phone call he had with Tor Wennesland, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, to discuss the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The minister said that Egypt prioritizes easing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, highlighting efforts to organize a ministerial conference in Cairo on December 2 in collaboration with the United Nations to enhance humanitarian response to Gaza crisis.
He voiced hope that the conference would lead to fruitful results that would contribute to alleviating the burdens of the suffering civilian population in the Strip.
