CAIRO – 26 November 2024: In a continuation of efforts to secure Egypt’s borders on all strategic fronts, the Border Guard Forces have successfully thwarted multiple smuggling attempts targeting the nation's resources.

 

During an inspection operation in the Qantara East region, Border Guard units intercepted an elaborate drug-smuggling attempt. Large quantities of hashish and hydro drugs were discovered concealed within concrete blocks loaded onto a vehicle, an attempt designed to evade security measures.

 

In operations across various strategic directions, the Border Guard Forces confiscated substantial amounts of drugs, including hashish, hydro, and cannabis (bango). Additionally, significant quantities of narcotic pills and weapons of various types were seized. Legal actions have been initiated against the perpetrators.

 

These successful operations highlight the unwavering determination of the Border Guard Forces to secure Egypt's borders. Their relentless efforts continue to safeguard the nation from smugglers and criminal elements seeking to harm the country’s stability and resources.
